Bisexuality: Fact or Fiction

MY definition of bisexuality.. - Being EMOTIONALLY attracted to both males and females.

Bisexuality has become the "trend" in the new millennium..
But can a person REALLY be EMOTIONALLY attracted to both women and men??
In my opinion.. NO

I think a person can be PHYSICALLY, attracted to both sexes but is ultimately more EMOTIONALLY attracted to the one "dominant" sex..

Being physically attracted to both sexes does not necessarily make you bisexual, gay, or straight.. I feel like that would fall more into the category of hyper-sexuality, basically meaning, YOU LOVE SEX! In this case, whether male of female, it's just sex and no emotional strings are attached, for you at least..

Emotional attraction is when feelings are involved.. Theoretically, a person can have sex with another person, regardless of their gender, and not have feelings involved or be emotionally attached. Being emotionally attached to another person determines whether you are STRAIGHT or GAY.. not just having "sexual relations"... I believe even in hyper-sexuality there is still one, "dominant," sex that you are emotionally attracted to.. Whether that "dominant" sex switches over time.. there is still only ONE DOMINANT SEX..

Personally, I feel like some people would just rather say "I'm bisexual" instead of saying "I'm attracted to men, but I like having sex with women too".. It's easier.. That's understandable.. Many would consider you bisexual or gay.. But I'd say you're straight AND just enjoy having sex.. (FOOD FOR THOUGHT)

There's nothing wrong with hyper-sexuality.. If that works for you.. By all means.. DO YOU AND ENJOY! If you consider yourself bisexual.. I applaud you.. I may not agree with you.. My opinion shouldn't and WILL NOT alter the way you live your life or classify yourself.. I just don't think a person can have their full emotions involved with both sexes at the same time.. To me, the word "bi" means 2.. NOT one and kinda the other or one and then the other.. Just 2..

Shade Doesnt Matter.. Heart Makes The Lover..

Preferences.. We all have them..

Whether they're guilty pleasures or just particular characteritcs we look for in our signifcant others, friends, etc..
Why does the Black community dwell on skin tone soooo much?
Whose to blame?
The media? Or ourselves??

Take a look..
Wale - Pretty Girls

No hate or shade to Wale.. I'm actually a fan and like Attention Deficit.. If you don't have his CD you're either missing out or don't appreciate good music..
I digress..
Its undeniable how there are majority light skinned, hispanic, or white skinny females in his video.. As in many other videos.. Many responses from the Black community: Where are the brown and dark skinned females? Many people even go to the extent to use Wales Nigerian heritage as to say that there should have been more brown and dark skinned females.. Wales Response: He didn't choose the models.. (This could very well be due to self-hate of himself and his culture BUT there could also be other reasons..)

Is it really self-hate from the artist? Or is it Preference?
BUT as a community, couldn't we also say "Where are the "thick" females? Where are the "curvaceous" females? Where are the 'unique-looking' females?"  Because as a community, Black women do not also come in different shades and looks, but different body types as well..
(FOOD FOR THOUGHT)

Whether its right or wrong.. SHADE has been and will continue to be an issue in the Black community..
..BUT WHY MAKE IT AN ISSUE??

The question is: Why is it so wrong to have a preference??

I'm tired of people making such a BIG DEAL or HOT SPOT issue out of  preferences.
For example: The fact that some males would prefer light skinned females with long hair, "red bones," and females who would prefer men with dreadlocks, "dreadheads." Why does the preferences of OTHER people have such an influence on YOUR life? And then why do you go back and label that SELF-HATE? Does is stream from your own INSECURITIES or PERSONAL SELF-HATE?

If your a dark skinned SECURE female would you really care that you are not in some men preferences? Are you really that insecure? MOVE ON and find someone better..
The list of outrageous preferences could go on for days.. YES it might be foolish to live your life according to preferences.. But that's it.. They are just preferences, YOU cannot change the way some people think or make decisions..

Why not look at it through a lens.. THEY are the ones that are MISSING OUT!

If you're a male only looking for a light or dark skinned female.. I already know the deal.. I'M OUT!! I'm brown skinned and I LOVE IT! I don't hold the preferences that others have against them because..
I see a PREFERENCE as an OPINION.. You're entitled to it, Why would you EVER apologize?
